Augea
Glossary/Snapshot

Snapshot

A timestamped, immutable capture of exchange fee data at a specific moment, used as the basis for every Augea estimate.

Augea's unit of data is the snapshot. Each snapshot captures one (asset, country, payment method) scenario across all tracked exchanges at a point in time. Snapshots are immutable once written and carry a unique identifier, so any estimate can be traced back to the exact data that produced it. The public archive at /archive lists every snapshot by id.
